Definitions

 

Believepres. part. be-liev-ing past and past part. be-lieved v.t. to accept as true, to believe a story || to give credence to (a person) || to hold as one’s opinion, I believe it is going to rain || v.i. to have religious faith to believe in to have confidence in the existence, truth or efficacy of, to believe in ghosts, to believe in planning be-liev-er n. a person who has beliefs, esp. one who has religious faith.
